Stephen Farnsworth, Senior Vice President, is responsible for new loan origination, focusing on conventional, student, senior and affordable multifamily loan originations through Fannie Mae DUS®, Freddie Mac Program Plus®, and HUD executions out of Walker & Dunlop's New Orleans office. Mr. Farnsworth has originated over $1.5 billion in agency loans throughout the United States. Additionally, Mr. Farnsworth provides financing solutions to all commercial real estate developers and owners nationwide through other capital market programs, including banks, life companies and CMBS conduit lenders.
Mr. Farnsworth joined Walker & Dunlop in February 2009 in conjunction with the acquisition of certain assets of Column Guaranteed. He started his mortgage banking career with Standard Mortgage Corporation in 2002, which was acquired by Column Guaranteed in 2003. Mr. Farnsworth is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and a sponsor chair of ULI Louisiana. Mr. Farnsworth received a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering at Clemson University and a Master’s in Real Estate and Construction Management at the University of Denver.
