With more than 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate and CMBS industry, Tim Koltermann, senior vice president and group head of CRE originations and operations, is responsible for managing Walker & Dunlop Commercial Mortgage Funding, LLC, the Company’s CMBS and high yield lending platform providing financing for multifamily and commercial real estate properties nationwide.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Koltermann served as senior portfolio manager at PineBridge Investments, where he was responsible for all trading, investment, research and risk management for a $300 million CMBS portfolio. Previously, he held senior positions at Longacre Fund Management, Bear Stearns and JP Morgan Mortgage Capital, where he was responsible for commercial real estate debt investments including CMBS trading and other alternative commercial real estate debt products. While at Bear Stearns, Mr. Koltermann was responsible for the New Issue CMBS business, including CMBS credit, trading and syndicate. In addition to his New Issue responsibilities, Mr. Koltermann was responsible for running the high yield CMBS trading business. While at JP Morgan Mortgage Capital, Mr. Koltermann was responsible for CMBS whole loan pricing and structuring. Previous to his Wall Street career, Mr. Koltermann worked for JMB Institutional Realty where he gained significant exposure to portfolio management, acquisitions, dispositions and development.

Mr. Koltermann earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and earned an MBA in finance and economics from The University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
