ABOUT Heather McClure
With 17 years of commercial real estate experience, Heather McClure, vice president, is responsible for nationwide loan originations of multifamily, retail, industrial, office, and hospitality properties. In addition, she has experience with a variety of financing solutions, including life company, bank, structured finance, conduit, and Agency executions.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Ms. McClure was a senior vice president of Capital Markets at Behringer, an investment management firm, where she negotiated and managed $1.9 billion of project and fund-level financings. Prior to Behringer, Ms. McClure was a director at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company for four years, where, as a lender, she originated approximately $450 million in commercial mortgages for various capital sources. Earlier in her career, she worked for Archon Financial, a Goldman Sachs Company as an underwriting associate.
Ms. McClure earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American studies from Texas A&M University. She received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas and is a certified public accountant in the state of Texas.
Beyond the company, Ms. McClure is on the advisory council of the Real Estate Finance & Investment Center at the University of Texas and a member of the Real Estate Council of Dallas. She is a member of the CREW Network–Dallas. In addition, Ms. McClure was named one of Dallas Business Journal’s Top Women in Business in 2012 and one of Real Estate Forum’s 2013 Women of Influence: Next Generation.
