ABOUT Curtis Kaufman
As a 32-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, Curtis Kaufman, vice president, has placed over $1 billion in financing throughout his career. Mr. Kaufman is responsible for providing financing solutions to commercial real estate developers and owners throughout the United States.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Kaufman served as director at George Elkins Mortgage Banking Company, which he joined in 2013. Before Elkins, Mr. Kaufman served as a principal in the firm of Waller, Kaufman and Sutter, for over twenty years. Before establishing the firm of Waller, Kaufman and Sutter, Mr. Kaufman was a shareholder in Kaufman Construction and Development, a licensed general contractor in Sacramento which specialized in the development of commercial and industrial properties for clients in both the private and public sectors.
Born in Sacramento, Mr. Kaufman graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in general business, with an emphasis on real estate. He has held a real estate broker license in the state of California since 1978.
Beyond the Company, Mr. Kaufman is a past member of the local Multiple Sclerosis Board, past president of the Jesuit High School Booster Club, past president of Del Paso Country Club, and chief financial officer of Angels for Hearts, a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation.
