Michelle Warner, executive vice president and group head of FHA Finance has over 30 years of real estate finance experience to include GSE, conduit, capital markets and FHA executions. Ms. Warner has been focused on FHA origination for the past 10 years and is responsible for origination, underwriting, quality control, and closing for the Company's HUD loan production. Since joining the Company in 2011, she has achieved more than $4 billion in loan production organically with 100% loan quality performance for the FHA insured fund. She is also a member of the Company’s executive committee and loan committee.
Ms. Warner manages the Company's FHA team, consisting of 55 individuals and continues to achieve a high degree of certainty of execution and a well-established credit quality with HUD. She developed a Chief Underwriter Forum with peer FHA lenders to communicate directly and strategically with HUD headquarters to enhance best practices within FHA and streamline program challenges to improve FHA’s processing timeframes.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Ms. Warner was FHA chief underwriter/program manager for Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage where she managed the FHA program including loan structuring, credit risk management, program compliance, HUD relationships and staff across the country. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Ms. Warner was vice president at Primary Capital Advisors where she managed the underwriting, closing and servicing groups, for the Atlanta based commercial mortgage banking firm.
Ms. Warner received her B.A. in Finance from the University of Maryland.
