Guy Johnson serves as Walker & Dunlop’s vice chairman, capital markets. Mr. Johnson is responsible for the strategic development, including growth and product development of the Capital Markets division.
Mr. Johnson is also founder and owner of Johnson Capital where he serves as chief executive officer. Before Johnson Capital, Mr. Johnson served as vice president at Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company, where he was responsible for the origination, underwriting, and management of construction, permanent, and participating mortgages as well as joint ventures for numerous institutional investors. Earlier in his career, Mr. Johnson gained valuable experience with Union Bank’s commercial lending department and the national real estate accounting firm Kenneth Leventhal & Company (now Ernst & Young).
Mr. Johnson earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from Loyola University.
Mr. Johnson is a Commercial Real Estate Finance Council board member and member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, California Mortgage Bankers Association, International Council of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute, National Multi Housing Council, National Association of Industrial, Office Properties Real Estate Investment Advisory Council.
