about Alex Holt

Alex Holt is a Managing Director on the Investment Sales team, hailing from Avalon Real Estate Partners, acquired by Walker & Dunlop in 2022. In his role, Mr. Holt is responsible for both the buyer and seller representation sides of the business, where he focuses on the acquisition and disposition of single family residential, multifamily and industrial development land. Mr. Holt also works with landowners and developer/builder buyers from the outset of contract negotiation, through the entitlement and permitting processes. Additionally, Mr. Holt is very active in connecting homebuilder and capital relationships on the financing side of projects, and sale of housing units to investment groups.

Prior to joining Avalon Real Estate Partners in 2010, Mr. Holt ran a small construction and contracting firm in Georgia, and prior to that worked in Aspen, Colorado with the Aspen Ski Company and ESPN’s Winter X Games.

Mr. Holt earned his bachelor’s in science with an Economics degree University of Georgia’s Terry School of Business. In addition, he is a licensed real estate sales agent in the States of Georgia and South Carolina.

In his spare time, Mr. Holt enjoys skiing, travel, boating, hunting and golf. Most of his time away from work is spent with his wife and four young sons.
