Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriter, Small Balance Group
Angelica Dichoco is Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriter for Walker & Dunlop's Small Balance Group. As a leader within the SBG team, she is responsible for setting and executing the platform's strategic direction of gaining market share and driving annual volume through technology. Additionally, she oversees the underwriting for Fannie Mae Small and Conventional Loans, Freddie Mac SBL Program, and Walker Private Lending. In this capacity, while driving efficiency by reshaping the loan process, she also structures credit policy for the platform.
Ms. Dichoco has over 25 years in the commercial real estate finance industry with in-depth knowledge of multifamily lending. She joined Walker & Dunlop in 2009 as a Deputy Chief Underwriter and served in this capacity for ten years, managing an underwriting pipeline of over $1.5 B annually. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Ms. Dichoco held successive positions in production and underwriting with Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage and its predecessors, where she gained industry knowledge and multifamily lending experience and has established a proven track record with GSE conventional and affordable loan programs.
Ms. Dichoco is also an advocate and active member of Walker & Dunlop's Employee Resource Groups, including the Women of Walker & Dunlop (WoWD) and AsiaPac Alliance.
