about Chris Bancroft

Based in Austin, Texas, Chris Bancroft is a Managing Director in Walker & Dunlop’s property sales group, and has been exclusively focused on the student housing industry since 2004. He and his team provide a full range of services for clients including asset disposition, valuation, market research, and capital markets execution.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Bancroft was a Principal of FourPoint Investment Sales Partners, a boutique brokerage firm specializing in student housing and conventional multifamily properties. Following a successful career at other nationally recognized brokerage firms, he co-founded FourPoint in 2014. From 2014 to 2021, the firm closed over $6 billion in property sales volume and effectively grew the student housing platform into a national leader in the industry. After a long-standing business relationship with Walker & Dunlop’s National Student Housing Finance Team, FourPoint was acquired by Walker & Dunlop in 2021 to further serve their clients in the student housing sector.

Mr. Bancroft earned his Bachelor of Science in management and finance from Tulane University.
