about George Melby

George Melby is an Associate Director for Walker & Dunlop’s multifamily finance department and based in New York City. Mr. Melby is responsible for the origination and transaction management of loans nationwide with a focus on the Small Balance execution through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s programs.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Melby was an Underwriter at Walker & Dunlop where he was involved in the successful closing of over $2.5 billion in loans. Throughout his career, Mr. Melby has gained experience in a variety of asset types including conventional multifamily, student housing, manufactured housing, and affordable housing.

Mr. Melby earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.
