about Joe Tarantino

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Joe Tarantino is a Senior Director for Walker & Dunlop’s multifamily finance group. Mr. Tarantino offers over 20 years of commercial real estate experience and has specialized in multifamily finance for more than 17 years. Mr. Tarantino is responsible for structuring multifamily transactions across several lending platforms, including agencies, life companies, banks, and debt funds. Throughout the past 17 years, he has overseen nearly $10 billion in loan originations.

Mr. Tarantino joined Walker & Dunlop in 2015 as a Deputy Chief Underwriter before working his way up to his current position. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, he served as a National Account Manager at Fannie Mae and Senior Underwriter at CWCapital. Additionally, he has extensive knowledge and experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac conventional loans, structured transactions, portfolio loans, and affordable housing transactions.

Mr. Tarantino holds a Bachelor of Science in real estate from Georgia State University.
