about Luke Erlandson

Luke Erlandson is a Senior Director and Midwest Co-Production Head for Walker & Dunlop’s small balance multifamily lending group. Based out of the company’s Chicago, Illinois office, Mr. Erlandson has over 14 years of commercial real estate finance experience. Mr. Erlandson is responsible for arranging financing for clients nationwide and has been involved in arranging over $2 billion in permanent and interim debt since 2007. He specializes in conventional and small multifamily loans and has experience utilizing a broad range of capital providers, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, life insurance companies, CMBS providers, and debt fund lenders.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Erlandson served as Assistant Vice President at Berkadia. Previously, Mr. Erlandson spent time GE Capital Real Estate. His experience includes structuring and underwriting financing for a variety of property types, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, self-storage, hospitality, and parking assets.

Mr. Erlandson attended Iowa State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. Beyond the company, he is a member of the CCIM Illinois Chapter and the Real Estate Investor Association (REIA). Previously, he was a mentor with the Chicago Scholars Foundation, a seven-year college development program for financially under-resourced and first-generation Chicago students.
