about Mary Stuart Hurst

Mary Stuart Hurst, Senior Director, is based in Walker & Dunlop’s Birmingham, Alabama office and is responsible for multifamily loan originations nationwide through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and HUD. Mrs. Hurst brings more than 14 years of commercial real estate experience with a focus on debt financing for market-rate, affordable, student, seniors, and manufactured housing properties.

Mrs. Hurst joined Walker & Dunlop in 2007 as a member of the company’s multifamily underwriting department. In this role, she was responsible for the analysis and underwriting of over $300 million in transactions for more than 8,000 multifamily units nationwide. Mrs. Hurst transitioned to a loan origination role in 2010 and has since been directly involved in the financing of over $4 billion in multifamily mortgages for more than 35,000 multifamily units across the country.

Mrs. Hurst holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Washington & Lee University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
