about Scott Nielson

Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Scott Nielson is a Director on Walker & Dunlop’s Capital Markets team. Mr. Nielson is responsible for financing income-producing properties including office, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, and retail nationwide, with a focus on the Southwest region. Throughout his career, Mr. Nielson has closed transactions utilizing a variety of financing structures such as permanent, construction, bank, bridge, and mezzanine debt.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Nielson was Vice President at Tower Capital, a structured finance firm located in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Within two years, Mr. Nielson arranged and closed more than $215 million in financing through bridge lenders, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and joint venture equity sources. Mr. Nielson began his real estate career when he joined the Menlo Group in February 2019.  In this role he was Vice President of Capital Markets and was responsible for the company’s investment real estate efforts.  Prior to his career in real estate, Mr. Nielson served as Director of Sales for BioHorizons, a dental implant company in Phoenix.

Mr. Nielson is a graduate of Sonoma State University, where he earned a BS in business marketing.
