about Suraj Mistry

Suraj Mistry is a Director of Originations for Alliant Capital, a Walker & Dunlop Company. In his role, he is responsible for structuring new LIHTC equity investment opportunities and acquisitions for several states in the Southeastern region of the U.S. Mr. Mistry brings over a decade of experience in LIHTC, multifamily, and hospitality.

Mr. Mistry has worked in the affordable housing industry for 10+ years, holding several positions within Alliant and another nationally recognized LIHTC Syndication firm. Mr. Mistry started as a Financial Analyst, creating complex financial models for new lower-tier transactions. He later transitioned to an Asset Manager, where he oversaw a portfolio of 65 LIHTC deals with debt and equity investments of over $1B.

Mr. Mistry earned his master’s degree in real estate finance from Georgetown University. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California in Business Administration with an emphasis on Real Estate Finance and Development.
