Alex Hoenig, MAI, is a managing director at Apprise, by Walker & Dunlop, and is based in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, he serves as the firm’s Midwest regional managing director and is responsible for client relationships, expanding the appraisal team, and growing the firm’s national valuation platform throughout the Midwest. He has more than 25 years of experience in commercial property valuation and consulting, including property appraisals, market and feasibility studies, tax appeals, and expert witness testimony.

Prior to joining Apprise, Hoenig served as a managing director at Colliers International, where he specialized in multifamily, manufactured housing and commercial property appraisals throughout the Central Midwest and Great Plains. Before that, he served as a director at Integra Realty Resources, providing valuation services across the majority of the United States.

Hoenig earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. He holds the Appraisal Institute’s MAI designation. He lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with his wife and their two children. Outside of work, he enjoys live music and is an avid outdoorsmen including hunting, fishing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
