Jared Strauss
Director, Multifamily Finance
Jared Strauss is a director of Multifamily Finance at Walker & Dunlop, based in Needham, Massachusetts. In his role, he is responsible for new loan origination nationwide, specializing in conventional multifamily, student housing, manufactured housing, small balance, and structured transactions.
Prior to his current role at Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Strauss served as a senior underwriter where he was responsible for underwriting conventional, affordable, small balance and manufactured housing deals. Before that, he worked as an underwriter at Arbor Realty trust where he was responsible for analyzing and underwriting complex multifamily real estate deals in compliance with agency and internal guidelines. Mr. Strauss has additional experience as assistant vice president of real estate at Northeast Bank where he was responsible for analyzing real estate loan collateral for potential loan purchases of performing notes secured by office, retail, multifamily and industrial properties throughout the United States
Mr. Strauss earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and information systems from Fairfield University and his master’s degree in business from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. He is a cyclist, runner, and former collegiate rower.
