Jared Strauss is a director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Needham, Massachusetts. In this role, Strauss is responsible for new loan origination nationwide, specializing in conventional multifamily, student housing, manufactured housing, small-balance lending, and structured transactions.
Prior to his current role, Strauss served as a senior underwriter at Walker & Dunlop, where he underwrote conventional, affordable, small-balance, and manufactured housing transactions. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, he worked as an underwriter at Arbor Realty Trust, where he analyzed and underwrote complex multifamily transactions in compliance with Agency and internal guidelines. He also served as assistant vice president of real estate at Northeast Bank, where he analyzed loan collateral for potential purchases of performing notes secured by office, retail, multifamily, and industrial properties nationwide.
Strauss earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and information systems from Fairfield University and a master’s degree in business from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. He is a cyclist, runner, and former collegiate rower.
