Matt Shevlin is a senior managing director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, Shevlin is responsible for structuring, pricing, and placing the firm’s multifamily real estate-related debt securities.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Shevlin was a vice president at Deutsche Bank in the Commercial Real Estate Group in New York. He began his focus on real estate at Chestnut Hill Realty in a business development role evaluating investment opportunities. Earlier in his career, he worked in the investment banking division at CIBC World Markets in Los Angeles, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, and equity offerings in the gaming, lodging, and leisure sectors.
Shevlin earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Dartmouth College and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School. He and his wife, Erica, reside in Hingham, Massachusetts, with their twin sons, Rhett and Cole, where he is active in the community.
