Tina Rothstein
Director, Capital Markets
Tina Rothstein is a director of capital markets at Walker & Dunlop, based in Los Angeles, CA. In her role, she is part of a team that sources, structures, and closes debt and equity transactions for acquisitions, refinances, repositioning, and ground-up construction projects.
Prior to Walker & Dunlop, Ms. Rothstein was vice president at Johnson Capital, where she was involved in soliciting and placing permanent loans for commercial real estate with various lenders, including life insurance companies, banks, and credit companies. Her responsibilities included underwriting, analyzing, market research, and handling due diligence matters for income-producing properties such as industrial, office, R&D, self-storage, retail, and multi-family.
Before that, Ms. Rothstein worked as a commercial appraiser at Sanwa Bank California, preparing and reviewing real estate appraisals for commercial properties across Southern California. She identified potential risks and formulated recommendations to mitigate lender exposure, while also reviewing all third-party reports, including environmental, engineering, and seismic assessments, to resolve loan contingencies and facilitate transactions. Ms. Rothstein began her career as an underwriter at Wells Fargo Realty Finance, a full-service mortgage banking firm.
Ms. Rothstein earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. She also holds a California Real Estate Salesperson License and is a California State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
