Zach Whorton

Mr. Whorton is a director of Capital Markets at Walker & Dunlop, based in New York City. In his role, he oversees the procurement, structuring, evaluation, and execution of debt financing across all major commercial real estate product types.

Since joining Walker & Dunlop in 2013, Mr. Whorton has facilitated the placement of $3 billion in debt financing from various major lending sources across retail, office, industrial, and multifamily sectors. Before his current position, Mr. Whorton worked as an analyst in Walker & Dunlop’s GSE Underwriting group, supporting a team of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriters. He transitioned to Capital Markets in 2014, progressing through roles including Senior Analyst, Assistant Vice President, and Associate Director.

Mr. Whorton earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He also served as Rush Chairman for the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity during his time there. Additionally, Mr. Whorton is the Alumni Chairman for The Lovett School, where he graduated in 2008.
