Through a growing range of initiatives, we work to ensure a safe and collegial work environment across our 29 offices and to actively expand the range of perspectives and experiences that contribute to our shared success. Here are just a few examples:

CREATING OPPURTUNITIES

Every year, we hire two interns through Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), which connects African American, Latino, and Native American college graduates to opportunities that build their skills and connections.

THOUGHTFUL CAMPUS RECRUITING

Our College recruiting includes some of the most prominent Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the United States.

"Walker & Dunlop surrounds us with a culture of positive encouragement from co-workers and management, giving us the motivation to take extra step to grow on personal and professional levels."

FOSTERING INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP

We also host interns through Future Housing Leaders, a program led by Fannie Mae and The Urban Institute, and Year Up, which helps low-income young adults without college degrees achieve professional careers.

FACILITATING MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS

Since 2014, we've worked with the Mortgage Bankers Association's CREF Careers program to introduce female and minority college students to commercial real estate careers.

Study after study shows that companies with diverse personal experiences and professional opinions far outperform more homogeneous organizations. We strive to be such an organization and make a conscious effort to create a culture that is underpinned by treating everyone with respect and dignity.
