Executive Vice President, Servicing
James Schroeder, Executive Vice President in Walker & Dunlop’s Loan Servicing department, is responsible for the day-to-day servicing of the Company’s portfolio of FHA-insured, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, conduit, construction and structured finance loans. Mr. Schroeder’s staff handles all aspects of loan servicing including loan boarding, escrow administration, invoicing and collections, escrow analysis, ARM resets, renovation and construction administration, insurance compliance, cash management, investor reporting, customer service, default management and payoff processing.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Schroeder served as senior vice president within the Primary Loan Servicing department at CWCapital LLC, where he was directly responsible for the day-to-day servicing of the $13 billion portfolio. During his 21-year tenure, Mr. Schroeder’s leadership within the Servicing department led to the firm’s achievement of Primary and Master Servicing ratings from both Fitch and Standard and Poor’s. He was also responsible for managing the company’s relationships with several Wall Street lenders and hedge funds which involved third-party servicing of over $2 billion of structured finance loans and served as the company’s primary trader of Ginnie Mae MBS, Fannie Mae MBS and Fannie Mae DMBS.
Mr. Schroeder holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Bentley College.
