about James Schroeder

James Schroeder, Executive Vice President at Walker & Dunlop, manages the company’s Servicing Department and directs the operations of its $118 billion portfolio. Mr. Schroeder is responsible for all aspects of loan servicing and asset management along with regulatory compliance, budgeting, and management of relationships with lenders, investors, vendors, and rating agencies. Mr. Schroeder is a member of the company’s Executive and Operations Committees. He is a current member of Freddie Mac’s Asset Management & Operations Advisory Council, served as Lender Chair of Fannie Mae’s Operations Subcommittee and holds the MBA’s CCMS designation.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Schroeder served as Senior Vice President within the primary loan servicing department at CWCapital, where he was directly responsible for the day-to-day servicing of the company’s $13 billion portfolio. In addition, he served as the company’s primary trader of Ginnie Mae and Fannie Mae securities.

Mr. Schroeder holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Bentley College.
