Amos Smith is a managing director of Capital Markets at Walker & Dunlop, based in Irvine, California. In this role, he is responsible for providing debt and equity capital solutions to commercial real estate developers and owners nationwide. With over 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Mr. Smith has arranged billions of dollars of real estate capital for his clients.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, he served as a senior executive at Johnson Capital, where he completed the firm’s largest construction, permanent, and structured debt and equity placements. During his tenure, he advised clients seeking capital for construction, acquisition, repositioning, and refinancing of all types of income-producing properties. Before that, Mr. Smith served as vice president of Pacific First Bank where he managed and restructured a billion-dollar non-performing loan portfolio and completed construction and permanent debt transactions.

Mr. Smith earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Pomona College. He is a current and past board member of NAIOP and is active in numerous local charities.
