Alfred I. Means III

Alfred I. Means, III is a managing director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, he oversees his team’s origination activities and helps lead the growth of the firm’s Capital Markets platform in the Atlanta region. He has over 35 years of commercial real estate finance experience and extensive expertise in capital markets lending and life insurance capital providers.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Means served as principal at iCap Realty Advisors, which was acquired by Walker & Dunlop in 2018. There, he led a team that historically originated between $700 million and $1 billion in annual brokered volume across a broad range of capital providers. Before that, he served as vice president at First Fidelity Mortgage Corporation and as a commercial loan officer in Wachovia Bank’s real estate finance group.

Means earned a bachelor’s degree in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a postgraduate degree in economics from the University of Sussex in England. Outside of Walker & Dunlop, he chairs the annual RPM 911 Race benefiting the Shepherd Center SHARE Military Initiative. He also is an active member of the Buckhead Lions Club, the Chastain Park Conservancy, The USO, the American Legion Post 140 and Christ the King Catholic Church.
