Betsy Blau is an associate director of Affordable Housing | Debt at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, she is responsible for financing conventional and affordable multifamily, healthcare, student housing, and other income-producing commercial real estate assets nationwide. Throughout her career, she has worked on teams that have originated and closed loans totaling more than $2.2 billion.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Blau served as a senior production analyst and assistant vice president of production at Colliers Mortgage, formerly Dougherty Mortgage, where she supported the origination and closing of commercial real estate loans across multiple asset classes.

Blau earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Northern Iowa and a master’s degree in business analytics from Iowa State University. She is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Iowa.
