Blake Lanford is a senior managing director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, Lanford is responsible for trading new-issue Agency securities backed by loans originated through the firm’s multifamily debt platform and for providing market intelligence related to fixed-income markets more broadly.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Lanford served as vice president of Capital Markets at CWCapital, where he was responsible for trading and supporting strategic corporate initiatives. Before that, he worked as a production and underwriting analyst at Credit Suisse, where he evaluated property-level risk during preliminary due diligence.
Lanford earned a bachelor’s degree in international business from Rollins College and a master’s degree in business, specializing in finance and real estate, from the University of Texas at Arlington. Outside of Walker & Dunlop, he is active in advocacy efforts on behalf of the mortgage banking industry, works with a nonprofit voluntary health organization and is an outdoorsman and endurance athlete.
