Bob Rice is a senior director of Affordable Housing | Equity at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, he is responsible for managing proprietary capital for Community Reinvestment Act-motivated investors and supports affordable housing investment strategies nationwide. He has more than 26 years of commercial real estate experience.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Rice served as a senior vice president at The Community Development Trust, where he focused on providing long-term capital solutions to support the creation and preservation of affordable housing. Before that, he served as an associate at SB Friedman Development Advisors, where he advised on urban development and affordable housing initiatives.

Rice earned a bachelor’s degree in urban studies and affairs from DePaul University and a master’s degree in city, urban, community, and regional planning from the University of Illinois Chicago.
