Brian Cornell is a managing director of Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners and head of Equity at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Denver, Colorado. In this role, he serves as portfolio manager for the firm’s equity platform and is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and underwriting investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Cornell served as a senior vice president at Amstar, where he sourced, underwrote, negotiated, and managed value-add real estate investments across multiple property types throughout the United States. Before that, he was a vice president at Broe Real Estate, overseeing asset management of the firm’s national office portfolio. Earlier in his career, he worked at Secured Capital, which is now Eastdil Secured, where he assisted with investment sales and debt placements totaling more than $3 billion in transaction volume.

Cornell earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with concentrations in finance and accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
