With over 15 years of commercial real estate experience, Chris Forte, Managing Director, is responsible for nationwide loan originations out of Walker & Dunlop’s, Bethesda, Maryland office. Mr. Forte specializes in financing conventional multifamily, affordable, manufactured, seniors, and student housing and has participated in the origination of over $12 billion in loan production.

Previously, Mr. Forte served as Senior Vice President of underwriting operations and Deputy Chief Underwriter at Walker & Dunlop, where he led a team that successfully closed over $5.5 billion in multifamily real estate loans. Before joining Walker & Dunlop in 2011, he spent four years at Freddie Mac, where he held roles in Multifamily Underwriting and Multifamily Securitization.

Mr. Forte graduated from Georgetown University with a Master of Science in real estate and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia. Beyond the company, Mr. Forte is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI). He has three children and lives in Washington, D.C.
