Chris Hughes is a senior director of Capital Markets | Investment Sales at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Winter Park, Florida. In this role, he is responsible for land sales throughout the state of Florida, representing both buyers and sellers. His primary focus is the acquisition and disposition of land across the residential spectrum, including multifamily, single-family, mixed-use, and master-planned communities.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Hughes served as director of development at Epoch Residential, where he identified and sourced development opportunities for Class A market-rate apartment communities in targeted markets. Earlier in his career, he was managing principal of several real estate companies engaged in investment and development across multiple asset classes.

Hughes earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Rollins College. He is a licensed real estate broker in Florida and is a candidate for the Accredited Land Consultant and Certified Commercial Investment Member designations. He is active in the Urban Land Institute and the National Multifamily Housing Council. Hughes resides in Florida with his wife and their two children.
