Frank Sciara is a managing director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, Sciara is responsible for the origination, structuring, and sourcing of debt and equity capital for income-producing real estate nationwide and oversees credit analysis, underwriting, loan negotiation, and portfolio management. He has more than 20 years of investment banking and real estate finance experience and has participated in the origination and financing of more than $3 billion in transactions across property types including multifamily, industrial, office, retail, self-storage, and hospitality.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Sciara served as a vice president at Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, where he originated commercial and multifamily loans and sourced equity for real estate transactions. Earlier in his career, he worked at George K. Baum & Company in Kansas City as part of the firm’s mergers and acquisitions advisory team.
Sciara earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Kansas. He earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation in 2010 and served on the board of directors of the Kansas City Chapter of CCIM for eight years, including serving as chapter president in 2020.
