Jake Barnett is an associate director of Capital Markets | Investment Sales at Walker & Dunlop and is based in San Diego, California. In this role, he is responsible for the origination and execution of multifamily investment sales and equity capital raises throughout San Diego and Southern California. He also oversees underwriting, marketing, and due diligence efforts, providing clients with strategic guidance and market insight throughout the transaction process. He has been involved in more than $2 billion in multifamily sales throughout his career.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Barnett served as an investment sales associate and analyst at Marcus & Millichap, where he specialized in the marketing and sale of multifamily properties and development opportunities throughout San Diego County.

Barnett earned a bachelor’s degree in real estate and management from Florida State University. He is active in the commercial real estate community, regularly speaks at industry events, and serves as a guest lecturer for the University of San Diego’s real estate program.
