Joe Hercenberg is a senior managing director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Parkland, Florida. In this role, he delivers financing solutions for commercial real estate developers and owners nationwide and structures debt and equity across multiple capital sources including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CMBS lenders, bridge lenders, life insurance companies, regional banks, credit unions, mezzanine lenders, preferred equity, and joint venture equity. With more than 20 years of experience, he has closed more than $18 billion in financings across more than 900 transactions in 37 states.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Hercenberg served at Deerwood Real Estate Capital for 7 years, where he originated, underwrote, and secured financing for commercial real estate transactions nationwide with a focus on both stabilized and transitional assets.

Hercenberg earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University, graduating summa cum laude.
