John Carr is a managing director of Capital Markets | Investment Sales at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, he is responsible for the origination and execution of multifamily property sales throughout the Southeast United States.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Carr served as a managing director at Cushman & Wakefield, where he specialized in institutional and middle-market transactions across the Sunbelt region. During his tenure, he participated in more than 300 transactions totaling more than $5 billion in sales volume and played a role in establishing the firm’s investment sales presence in Texas. Earlier in his career, he gained development experience at Alliance Residential, focusing on projects in primary Southeastern markets.

Carr earned a bachelor’s degree in real estate from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
