John M. Blaser, MAI, is a managing director at Apprise, by Walker & Dunlop, and is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, he serves as the firm’s Mountain region lead, supporting clients across the Intermountain West with valuation and advisory services. He has nearly 20 years of commercial real estate valuation and advisory experience, with expertise in multifamily and complex commercial assets throughout the western United States. His experience includes conventional multifamily, affordable housing, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit properties, retail, industrial, office, self-storage, hospitality, medical, seniors housing, manufactured housing, specialty properties, and vacant land.

Prior to joining Apprise, Blaser served as managing director at BBG Real Estate Services, where he led the Salt Lake City office and oversaw valuation operations throughout the Intermountain West. Before that, he held leadership roles at Colliers International Valuation & Advisory Services, including serving as managing director of Colliers’ Salt Lake City valuation office. Earlier in his career, he served as a commercial credit analyst for a regional bank, where he developed expertise in lending, credit analysis, and real estate finance.

Blaser earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Brigham Young University. He holds the Appraisal Institute’s MAI designation and is a certified general real estate appraiser in California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming.
