Katie Hinder is a senior director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Towson, Maryland. In this role, she is responsible for nationwide loan originations and primarily specializes in multifamily financing through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Throughout her career, she has participated in the origination and underwriting of more than 1,000 transactions exceeding $17 billion in volume across conventional multifamily, manufactured housing, seniors housing, student housing, and affordable housing.

Prior to her current role, Hinder advanced through multiple leadership positions within Walker & Dunlop’s GSE underwriting platform, including deputy chief underwriter, before transitioning into production in 2021. She joined the firm in 2011 as an underwriting analyst.

Hinder earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the College of Charleston.
