Kimberly Schmitz is a managing director of Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners | Debt at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Denver, Colorado. In this role, she serves as portfolio manager for the firm’s debt platform and is responsible for originating and closing fixed- and floating-rate commercial property financing opportunities, primarily first mortgage and mezzanine investments, for mortgage banking and direct borrower clients nationwide.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Schmitz served as a vice president at Rockwood Real Estate Advisors, where she specialized in real estate debt and equity underwriting, portfolio and asset management, property dispositions, and advisory services. She began her career at Rockwood focused on the hospitality sector before expanding into all major property types, providing strategic fund advisory for more than $10.5 billion in real estate, investment sales brokerage totaling $750 million, and advisory services for an additional $1.1 billion in hotel, multifamily, office, seniors housing, and retail assets.

Schmitz earned a bachelor’s degree from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.
