Maren Steinberg is an executive vice president and board member of Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Virginia. In this role, she is responsible for managing the firm’s legacy funds, providing strategic guidance on investment strategy and execution, and serving as a voting member of the firm’s investment committees.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners, Steinberg served as vice president of operations at GMAC Commercial Mortgage, where she oversaw asset management, loan servicing, balance sheet functions, underwriting policies, loan restructurings, and capital markets execution. During her tenure, she structured and closed more than $250 million in commercial real estate loans. Before that, she served as director of development at Royal Investments Corporation, where she managed international development initiatives, implemented business plans, and participated in real estate transactions totaling more than $1.1 billion across Sweden and the United Kingdom. Earlier in her career, she served as chief financial officer at Eastern Realty Corporation and began her career as chief financial officer of Sargis & Jones.

Steinberg earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in business administration from George Washington University.
