Mark Grace
Senior Managing Director
Mark Grace is a senior managing director of Capital Markets at Walker & Dunlop, based in Irvine, California. In his role, he is responsible for new loan origination, utilizing direct relationships with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, CMBS, banks, and life insurance companies. Mr. Grace specializes in providing tailored financing solutions to commercial real estate developers and property owners nationwide, focusing on delivering outstanding service and flawless execution. With more than 14 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, Mr. Grace has successfully originated more than $10 billion in financing throughout his career. Over the past four years alone, he and his team have closed over $6 billion in financing.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Grace was a vice president at NorthMarq Capital. Before his production roles, he spent eight years underwriting debt and served as the analyst council chairperson in 2009. In his first year as an originator, he was awarded the Rookie of the Year designation for his notable production.
Mr. Grace earned his bachelor’s degrees in finance and management information systems from Boston University School of Management and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. He is a licensed California real estate salesperson. Beyond the company, Mr. Grace is the father of four and an avid skier, mountain biker, and drone pilot, enjoying time with friends and family. Mark and his family are active supporters of the Challenged Athletes Foundation, a nonprofit organization that empowers individuals with physical disabilities to pursue active lifestyles and competitive athletics, believing that sports participation increases self-esteem, encourages independence, and enhances quality of life.
Mr. Grace, along with his business partner, John Montakab, was also honored with the GlobeSt. Rainmakers award in CRE Debt, Equity & Finance in 2023.
