Matthew Baldwin is a senior director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, Baldwin is responsible for nationwide loan originations and structures debt and equity financing solutions for income-producing commercial real estate assets across multiple property types. He has more than 16 years of commercial real estate experience.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Baldwin served as an associate director at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, where he originated and placed commercial debt and equity across property types including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, and self-storage. Before that, he was a senior investment analyst at NorthMarq Capital, where he conducted financial underwriting, loan sizing, loan request packaging, and due diligence for debt and equity transactions. Earlier in his career, he served as an associate at Bank of America Leasing & Capital.
Baldwin earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
