Matthew Wiener is a senior managing director of Affordable Housing | Debt at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Wyoming. In this role, Wiener is responsible for government-sponsored enterprise originations for conventional and affordable housing product lines, as well as FHA financing and bridge lending. He has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and specializes in large, complex, and affordable housing transactions.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Wiener served as a managing director at Wells Fargo Multifamily Capital following its acquisition of Wachovia, where he held a similar government-sponsored enterprise production role as a director. Earlier in his career, he began as an analyst at American Property Financing.

Wiener earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Skidmore College.
