Michael Gathman is a Senior Director for Apprise, based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Gathman has over 25 years of experience in real estate appraisals with an emphasis in the valuation of income-producing properties. In addition to appraising industrial, office, retail, lodging, and special-purpose properties, Mr. Gathman specializes in existing and proposed multifamily properties, including apartments, student housing, and for-sale condominium projects. He has also been active in the valuation of numerous mixed-use developments, redevelopment properties, and portfolios.

Prior to joining Apprise, Mr. Gathman was a Senior Director within the Chicago Valuation & Advisory group of Cushman & Wakefield. Prior to this, he worked as an appraiser at Realty Services International, Inc. and National Property Valuation Advisors, Inc., where he served as a Director and led a team active in the valuation and analysis of a wide range of property types nationwide.

Mr. Gathman earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University. He is a certified general real estate appraiser in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin, and is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute. Mr. Gathman is also a member of the Illinois Coalition of Appraisal Professionals (ICAP).
