Oscar Sanchez is a director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in New York, New York. In this role, he provides customized financing solutions to owners and operators of commercial real estate properties nationwide. Over the past 10 years, he has worked on more than $2 billion in commercial mortgage closings.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Sanchez served as a vice president on IDB Bank’s commercial real estate team, where he originated, underwrote, and closed term, bridge, and construction loans. Earlier in his career, he was an associate on Amherst Capital Management’s commercial real estate originations team and began his career as a CMBS and bridge loan underwriter at Arbor Realty Trust in New York.
Sanchez earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Baruch College in New York. He resides in New Jersey with his wife and their two children, twins. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar and training for Olympic weightlifting competitions.
