Ryan Smith is a senior director of Affordable Housing | Debt at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, Smith is responsible for financing conventional and affordable multifamily, healthcare, student housing, and other income-producing commercial real estate assets nationwide. Over the past 14 years, he has originated and closed commercial loans for assets with a total valuation exceeding $3.2 billion.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Smith served as a vice president at Colliers Mortgage and previously at Dougherty Mortgage, where he focused on commercial real estate finance transactions across multiple asset classes. Before that, he served as a vice president and portfolio asset manager at Citi Community Capital.

Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi.
