Stefani Thomas is a senior vice president of Affordable Housing | Equity at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Calabasas, California. In this role, Thomas serves as divisional general counsel for the firm’s affordable housing equity platform and oversees legal matters related to corporate governance, equity financing, and transactional activities. She has more than 20 years of experience across corporate, equity financing and other complex transactional matters.

Prior to her current role, Thomas served as senior counsel at Alliant Capital, which was acquired by Walker & Dunlop in 2021, where she advised on legal and transactional matters for the affordable housing platform. Before that, she practiced law for more than 11 years at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private placement transactions, commercial contracts, financings, and licensing transactions across multiple industries. Her practice spanned a broad range of industries, including technology, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail and consumer goods. Earlier in her career, she was an associate at Folger Levin & Kahn LLP.

Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in sociaology from the University of California, Los Angeles and a juris doctor from University of California, Berkeley.
