Steve LaMotte Jr. is a managing director of Capital Markets | Investment Sales at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, he represents institutional and private clients nationwide, specializing in the disposition of multifamily and mixed-use assets. He focuses on executing complex, large-scale, and portfolio transactions across his markets.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, LaMotte served as executive vice president at CBRE, where he led an apartment brokerage and consulting group focused on developments throughout the Central Midwest and Upper Southeast regions of the United States.

LaMotte earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation. He serves on the advisory boards of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Center for Real Estate Studies and Apartment Life. He has presented to the Louisville Apartment Association, the Indiana University real estate program, Midwest Real Estate News regional events, the Indiana Bar Association, and the Indiana Apartment Association. He is involved with Northview Christian Church, Mission: Uprising, and Youth With A Mission, leading an annual home-building trip to Mexico.
