Managing Director Tony Cassie is based out of Walker & Dunlop’s Portland, Oregon office, and is responsible for the sale and disposition of senior housing assets throughout the United States, with a focus on the Western Region. Mr. Cassie brings 15 years of brokerage advisory experience to Walker & Dunlop and has closed over 400 transactions totaling more than $1 billion in transaction volume throughout his career. Thanks to his diverse professional background, he has a deep understanding of how to streamline operations, advise on strategy and management, and implement technology within the healthcare and senior housing industry.

Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Cassie served as First Vice President with Marcus & Millichap, where he earned the firm’s Pacesetter Award within his first year of tenure and was a top agent in the Portland office for every year in which he held a sales role. In this position, Mr. Cassie was also Regional Manager of the Portland office and was responsible for executing the firm’s strategic vision, providing leadership and managing the day-to-day operations for the firm, and mentored junior agents in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Cassie was a consultant for a Big 4 accounting and consulting firm where he focused exclusively on nursing home, hospital, seniors housing, and health insurance clients. Prior to that, he worked for a fiscal intermediary performing audits in hospital and nursing facilities and he also worked as a Medicare and Medicaid cost report consultant.

Mr. Cassie earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Montana at Missoula.

Beyond the company, Mr. Cassie is a member of several industry organizations, including the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing.
