Travis D’Amato is a managing director of Capital Markets | Investment Sales at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, he is responsible for the origination and execution of investment sales and equity capital raise assignments for multifamily assets in the Greater Boston area. He also serves on the firm’s Institutional Strategies Group, focusing on large-scale portfolio opportunities nationally. He has more than 20 years of multifamily real estate experience and has participated in more than 160 sales, land, and equity transactions throughout New England with an aggregate value exceeding $15 billion.
 
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, D’Amato served as a managing director at JLL, CBRE, and Apartment Realty Advisors, where he specialized in multifamily investment sales. Before that, he began his real estate career in property management at WinnCompanies.
 
D’Amato earned a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. He is a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. He serves as vice chairman of the Multifamily Platinum Council of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the ULI Boston Market Council and ULI Boston Management Committee. He is a past president of the Real Estate Finance Association, a member of NAIOP and the National Multifamily Housing Council, and vice chairman of the board of trustees for Heading Home, a nonprofit organization focused on ending homelessness in the Greater Boston area.
