Adam Johnston is a managing director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Bethesda, Maryland. In this role, Johnston specializes in the origination of multifamily loans through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Throughout his career, he has participated in the origination and underwriting of more than $10 billion in transactions across conventional multifamily, manufactured housing, senior housing, student housing, and affordable housing.

Prior to his current role, Johnston served in the firm’s underwriting department before transitioning into a production role in 2015.

Johnston earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Lehigh University.
