Alexandra Huffman is a managing director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, she is responsible for multifamily loan originations through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the firm’s bridge lending program. She also has extensive experience across specialized asset classes, including manufactured housing, student housing and affordable housing. Huffman has more than 15 years of multifamily finance experience and has been directly involved in more than $12 billion in multifamily mortgages nationwide.
Prior to her current role, Huffman worked in the firm’s multifamily underwriting department, where she underwrote more than $1 billion in transactions.
Huffman earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of Charleston and a master’s degree in real estate, with a concentration in finance, from Georgetown University. She serves on the boards of World Pediatrics, Little Hands Virginia and the National Building Museum, and is active with SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now). She was named a Connect CRE Next Generation Award winner in 2021, ranked among the top 10 Fannie Mae DUS lenders in 2022, and recognized as a GlobeSt. Women of Influence in 2023.
